Every Friday the kids and I do the grocery shopping for the week; however, before we start shopping we stop at Tim Horton's for muffins, bagels and coffee. My DD orders banana nut muffin every week. Unfortunately, there are not always banana nut muffins, I try to explain to here that these things happen but to her it is the end of the world for her (after all this is the child that told herself that she was the princess of all the beautiful things, yes she said that).
This week I came up with an idea. Before we went in I told her that if they were out of banana nut muffins we will make some at home, all the while knowing that I had 2 very ripe bananas at home, she agreed and they were out of banana nut muffins.
Friday afternoon while baby brother was taking his nap DD and I made Orange Banana Muffins with nuts (and a few had Hershey's kisses). the muffins are quite nice but the kisses can go.

Those muffins look great and I wish I had one right now with my Sunday tea! I see your helpers were at it with you. Too fun!
yes and I guess they we not "Box mix" like Tim Horton's enough for them because now the kids don't want to eat them. I think that they are great.
Who wants to have Tim Hoeton's MUffins when they have a momy like you? Princess Z even had her princess sweatshirt on.
LOL yes she did, always something princess.
Hi Shayne,
Thanks for dropping by my blog.
These muffins sounds and looks delcious. I've never made the combo of orange and banana but I am sure that I would love it.
p/s: I discovered Tim Horton's when I was working for a few months in Canada. I don't usually eat donuts, but when I had their maple boston cream donut, I thought I died and went to heaven. I never thought that a donut would get such a reaction from me. wow
Great way to spend some time in the kitchen sharing your love of cooking with your kids as well. My daughter is 20 now and still loves to cook! I still head to Tim Hortons for a doughnut once in a while though!
this is funny becase I have never had a Tim Horton's doughnut, we stop every Friday but I always just get coffee the kids eat.
That's funny- when I was a kid, I loved banana nut muffins, too. There must be something about them.
I love the look of these...that big toasted pecan on top. Yum.
