Mystery Fruit # 1

Cherimoya

About once a month something will pop up in the produce section of my local grocery store that I do not recognise or I have never tried before. I have been calling them mystery fruits and this one is one of the first that I tried. To tell the truth I find most of these mystery fruits to have a musty or musky taste kind of like musk melon or papaya which I am not a fan of. This fruit was not any different, it was sweet with a texture almost like the inside of a pumpkin with a slightly acidic musk like undertone.Font size

When I was a senior in high school, I was the food's class TA. I would come to school early and the teacher and I would go do the daily grocery shopping. One morning, there was this weird looking fruit in the produce section. It was a cheramoya. We bought it, brought it back to school and cracked it open. And it was terrible. Like really bad. I don't even know what I would do with a fruit like that besides throwing it away!

well yes that is how I feel about this fruit. I tasted it, spit it out and tossed it is the trash. it was nasty and slimy. I was trying to be objective with my discription LOL

I don't know if I would have tried that once I opened it. Thanks for visiting. I'm posting the baby shower later. Stop by again if you'd like, I'm having a giveaway.
