The other day I was feeling like I really needed to release some creative juices so I got out my oil pastels and sat down for a few hours of relaxation and it felt great.
Thank you so much everyone but I don't think of myself as an artist I only do it when I feel I need it and that is only a few times a year and I coudl not do it every day or for a living like a true artist would.
Oil Pastel is not really painting they are really oily crayons that you can smear and move together a little with your hands. I enjoy working with acrylic painting (too much work with small kids however) chalk, oil pastel and charcoal and I recently found water color pencils to be great fun too.

Beautiful!
Shayne, that is lovely! I had no idea that you painted. Beautiful!
Wow, Shayne, that's gorgeous! And I'm so, so impressed at your pastel work - I always found them so uber difficult to work with as a medium.
It's a wonderful piece! The colors make me think of big bluestem grass in the fall.
I didn't know you were such a painter. That is gorgeous!!! Beautiful!
Wow, you made that! Oh my goodness that is phenomenal :) Are you an artist? I would hang that on my wall in my office. It is soothing

I knew you would eventually get back to it! That is fabulous! I love all the saturated colors!
