~Cinnamon Rolls~
They were tasty; however, the dough rose too fast so the flavor did not have time to develop and the bottom of the sticky buns were a little over done. That did not stop them from disappearing within a few short hours. Thank you Pip in the City for hosting this month's challenge.

The photos of your kids are so adorable! Great job with the buns!
Thank you so much. I was just looking at all the other DBers and the rolls are so beautiful, but we had fun making and eating them.
Looks good and the photos of the kids helping are cute :)
The pictures are priceless! I love having my boys in the kitchen with me. My oldest is becoming quite the little helper!
Your buns look great. Congrats on your first challenge and WELCOME!
Great job on your first challenge with us!! What a nice way to share the joy of baking with your children.
Yippee! Congratulations on completing your first Daring Baker challenge in such a lovely way!
I think your two little helpers played a key role in the perfect outcome of the cinnamon rolls...all three of you did an outstanding job! :-)
How cute are those pictures of your kids helping out. So great of you to let them participate.
Some days I think I should have kids just to have someone to teach in the kitchen. Okay, that might not be the best reason, but how fun!
Congratulations on your first challenge! Welcome to the gang!
Thank you everyone. The kids and I had a blast doing the rolls. I split the dough in half and let each have half to roll out and spread the cinnamon mixture. DD tried to roll up the dough but it was just too sticky. the rest of the rolls looked rough because they put them in the pans that is why you see the ones you see.
Cooking with kids can be very challenging because they can't always follow directions but we always try to have fun and I always find some way to get them involved.
Glad your kids could get in on the action - both on the baking and the eating sides!
Well done on your first challenge and way to get the kids involved!
the kids kneading the dough looks soo cute :) glad you family had fun making it. well done!
How sweet to see the kids in action!! Welcome to the club, Shayne!!
wow. those looks great. I would love to have one! Can I?
That certainly looks like a challenge (to me anyway!) but looking at your results, maybe I should give it a go. =)
I love the kiddie pictures, they are just too cute! Gotta teach them while they're young :)
What a kitchen crew you have. My son and I used to do the same thing when he was growing up. Now guess what his career is - a very excellent chef. Went to school at the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park, NY and has been cooking ever since he was small! So...early training!
Wow Deb that is a great story. I don't know if they will be chefs but I sure hope they have a love for cooking when they are adults, becoming a chef would just be a bonus...My 3 year old daughter says she wants to be a Queen and a Doctor when she grows up though.
I love that you get your kids in on the action. They are going to be quite talented in the kitchen when they get older!
How nice to have the kids get involved! Congrats on your first challenge!
Awww your kids are so cute! I love seeing kids help in the kitchen =)
And you know what - as long as you had fun making & eating them, that's all that matters! I think they look delicious!
Excellent 1st challenge! I hope we get to see the kids helping mom in the future too! heee!
xoxo
How wonderful that you got your kids involved in this great project! And, great-looking bunz, dear!
I'm glad you had so much fun making the buns. Welcome to the Daring Bakers!
Like the twenty-some people before me, I love that you had your kids helping you make the cinnamon buns and that you keep them active in your kitchen. Trust me, you're creating memories now that they will treasure for the rest of their lives.
Congratulations on your first challenge! Your buns look lovely! It's always nice to have helpers in the kitchen. I wish my dog could roll out dough. =\ ;)
So cute! Love the little hands helping.
Dough rose too fast? Send some rising vibes please...hehe
You are lucky to have such adorable little helpers! :) They're so cute! Congratulations on your first challenge! It was my first challenge too :)
Love those little busy hands rolling the dough! Great buns.
